Dave is an original character based off a dream that Gonk, one of the devs had, In this dream, a new Among Us update was coming out. The trailer for this update has a new "main character" of Among Us named Dave, the trailer led to an ARG, which involved Dave "figuring out what his room looked like". This room was a secret room in the new map, However, at the end of the trailer, Dave jumped out of the window of the building the new map was set in. This became an inside joke among the developers, and Dave was eventually added to the mod. He is the opponent in Crewicide.
