In the 1.19 wild update, the sculk block variants are my new favorite blocks to play around with. The sculk sensor is activated when it hears sound, and releases a redstone pulse used to activate redstone. The sculk catalyst creates sculk when a mob dies. Based on how much experience the mob drops, it will generate sculk on convertible blocks (stone, dirt, deepslate, etc). The sculk shrieker emits a screeching sound when walked on. If there is a nearby sculk sensor, the sensor can activate the shrieker by sending a sound signal. All of these blocks can be generated by a catalyst.
