Moderation Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

Pixel Papercraft ("Pixel Papercraft," "we," "us") provides areas where users can submit or display user-generated content ("UGC"). This User-Generated Content Moderation Policy ("Policy") describes:

  • where UGC exists on the site,
  • the rules that apply to UGC,
  • how we moderate and enforce those rules, and
  • how users, visitors, and partners can report content or appeal moderation decisions.

This Policy applies to all UGC submitted, published, or otherwise made available through Pixel Papercraft now or in the future. This Policy should be read together with the site's rules and privacy policy.

We strive to maintain a site that is safe for users, suitable for a general audience, and appropriate for advertising partners. Nothing in this Policy creates an obligation to monitor all UGC or to take action in every instance.

2. Where User-Generated Content Appears

User-generated content may appear in areas including:

  • design submissions and design descriptions,
  • papercraft photo uploads,
  • usernames and limited profile information,
  • search listings, tag pages, and other pages that display submitted content.

Pixel Papercraft does not currently provide unrestricted on-site private messaging between users. If new interactive features are added in the future, this Policy will apply to those features unless stated otherwise.

3. Community Guidelines

UGC must be lawful, accurate, and suitable for a general-audience environment. The following categories of content are prohibited on Pixel Papercraft:

3.1 Illegal content and harmful conduct

  • Content that violates applicable law or encourages illegal activity.
  • Fraud, scams, deceptive practices, or instructions for wrongdoing.

  • Hate speech or hateful symbols.
  • Content targeting protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, or encouragement of harm.

3.4 Sexual and explicit content

  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise NSFW content.
  • Nudity or sexual content that is not suitable for a general audience.
  • Sexually exploitative content or solicitation.

3.5 Violence and self-harm

  • Graphic violence or gore.
  • Content that encourages, promotes, or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.

3.6 Privacy and personal data

  • Posting someone else's personal information without permission, including addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, financial information, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data.
  • Sharing private photos or personal details without consent.

3.7 Impersonation and misrepresentation

  • Impersonating another person, creator, moderator, or organization in a misleading way.
  • Misrepresenting affiliation, ownership, or authority to deceive others.

3.8 Spam, solicitation, and advertising abuse

  • Spam, repetitive posting, or disruptive behavior.
  • Unapproved commercial promotion, affiliate spam, link farming, or deceptive outbound links.

3.9 Security and platform abuse

  • Malware, phishing, credential harvesting, or malicious files or links.
  • Attempts to bypass filters, abuse site features, or interfere with the operation or security of the site.

3.10 Intellectual property and rights violations

  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Designs or photos copied from other websites or creators without permission.
  • Unauthorized use of another person's content, likeness, or creative work.

3.11 Off-topic, misleading, or low-integrity content

  • Content that is misleading, falsely described, or unrelated to papercraft on Pixel Papercraft.
  • Submissions that misrepresent authorship, origin, or what the design or photo actually shows.

3.12 Otherwise objectionable content and brand safety

We may also restrict or remove content that is not illegal but is inappropriate for a general audience, creates a meaningful safety or brand-safety risk, or otherwise undermines the integrity of the site.

4. Product-Specific Rules

In addition to the standards above:

  • uploaded photos must be taken by the uploader and must show papercraft from Pixel Papercraft,
  • uploaded designs must be original submissions and must follow the site's design rules,
  • designs and photos should remain family friendly and suitable for advertisers and a broad audience,
  • designs, titles, descriptions, and related metadata must accurately describe the submitted content.

5. How Pixel Papercraft Moderates UGC

Pixel Papercraft uses a combination of product controls, submission requirements, and manual review by moderators. Depending on the feature, content may be reviewed before approval, after publication, or in response to user, visitor, or partner reports.

5.1 Product and technical controls

Depending on the feature, we may use controls such as:

  • required submission fields,
  • restrictions on the kinds of content that may be uploaded,
  • rate limits or anti-abuse measures,
  • automated checks intended to reduce spam or abusive submissions, and
  • manual approval workflows for some content types.

5.2 Automated and manual review

  • Automated systems may block, limit, or flag certain submissions.
  • Manual review may occur before approval, after publication, or in response to reports and internal checks.
  • We do not guarantee that all UGC is screened before it appears.

We reserve the right to review, reject, unpublish, edit, or remove content at any time to protect users, advertisers, and the site.

6. Enforcement

We may take action on content or accounts at any time, with or without notice, when we believe content violates this Policy or creates a safety, legal, or brand-safety risk.

Possible actions include:

  • rejecting or removing content,
  • unpublishing designs or photos,
  • issuing warnings,
  • restricting upload privileges,
  • suspending or banning accounts.

6.1 Graduated enforcement

Typical enforcement may include:

  • first or low-severity violations: content removal and/or warning,
  • repeated violations: temporary feature restrictions or account suspension,
  • serious or repeated violations: permanent removal of content or permanent account bans,
  • severe violations: immediate action, including permanent bans and referral to appropriate authorities where necessary.

7. Reporting Content

Users, visitors, and partners can report content that may violate this Policy by emailing admin@pixelpapercraft.com or by using the site's contact page.

Please include:

  • the page URL or enough detail for us to locate the content,
  • a brief explanation of the issue,
  • any relevant context that may help with review.

We handle reports as confidentially as reasonably possible.

7.1 Response targets

We aim to review reports as promptly as practicable, typically within 24 to 72 hours. More serious reports, including child safety, threats, malicious links, or impersonation, may be prioritized.

8. Appeals

Users may appeal certain moderation decisions by emailing admin@pixelpapercraft.com within 30 days of the action.

Please include:

  • your account details,
  • the relevant page URL or content details,
  • the moderation action you are appealing,
  • why you believe the decision was incorrect,
  • any other relevant context.

We aim to review appeals within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 14 days. Some actions may be non-appealable where necessary for safety, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

9. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Pixel Papercraft after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
