Deepslate is a block added into Minecraft in 1.17. It generates and replaces stone usually under Y=16. Deepslate is harder to break compared to normal stone. When mined with an pickaxe without Silk Touch, it drops the cobbled variant, Cobbled Deepslate, which (unlike normal cobblestone), can be made into the different bricked deepslate variants (polsihed deepslate, deepslate bricks, etc.) For the different brick variants, check out my other design:
